The Shift Toward Energy-Efficient Protection

Historically, storm shutters served only a functional, often seasonal purpose. Today’s technology and design innovation have transformed these products into something much more useful. For example, energy-efficient storm shutters in New Bern serve the dual purpose of protecting homes during high winds and reducing thermal energy transfer all year round. The savings on energy bills are significant, especially during the hot and humid summers when cooling costs escalate.

The multi-layer aluminum shutters, the UV resistant coating, along with the impact-rated panels provide such strong insulation that makes them ideal with regard to high heat gain and poor HVAC efficiency. These benefits is what drives so many property owners to upgrade their homes with residential storm shutters in New Bern that offer high durability and substantial savings.

Customization Is Key

Another reason more residents are making the switch is the wide range of customizable options available today. Whether you prefer the traditional aesthetic of Bahama shutters or the sleek operation of motorized roll-down systems, there are tailored solutions to match your architectural style and functional needs.

At AHS Carolinas, we specialize in providing custom hurricane shutters in New Bern that are designed, engineered, and installed with precision. Our team ensures each product is built to meet Florida Building Code standards, providing maximum storm resilience. More importantly, these custom designs complement the look of your home while enhancing long-term value.

Affordability Without Compromise

It’s a common misconception that custom solutions come with a premium price tag. In reality, affordable storm shutters in New Bern are readily available when you partner with a trusted, local expert like AHS Carolinas. Our team is committed to delivering premium protection without breaking your budget, offering financing options, free consultations, and efficient installations that respect your time and investment.

By integrating cutting-edge materials, energy-saving features, and region-specific engineering, we bring peace of mind to every project.

For those homeowners who value energy efficiency and protection, energy-efficient storm shutters in New Bern are the way to go. At AHS Carolinas, we provide residential storm shutters in New Bern that are durable, stylish, and highly insulated at reasonable prices. Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The team installed kevlar enforced rollup hurricane screens all around our porch 5 years ago. We purchased them because a relative has them and was very pleased. We live right on the water near the mouth of the Neuse River in Oriental so they get tested regularly. They’ve protected our house through tropical storms, snow storms and hurricanes. They’ve held up and continue to work well. They weren’t inexpensive, but well worth the money through our experience. We highly recommend them!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I am very pleased with my new white hurricane shutters that can easily be pulled shut even from indoors in case of really windy weather. These are so much more practical than the heavy metal shutters we had to install for strong storms and then remove again in order to see out.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had an excellent experience with American Hurricane Shutters! Mr. Burns met us promptly at our convenience to explain his array of products. We chose the accordion style hurricane shutters for our Ocean front side. I was notified in a timely fashion when they were about to arrived and allowed to pick a convenient date for installation at our house on Wrightsville Beach NC. The installers were kind enough to wait for us to come after they were finished do demonstrate their function. I tore a rotator cuff trying to close our 30 yr old rusty shutters and now can close these just using my finger tips! I highly recommend this company.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great experience. Had an issue with the manufacturer's finish a year later, and they replaced the hurricane shutter without question. The installation was thorough as we expected the first time, but many businesses attempt to evade warranty work or address their problems once they've received their payment. Not here. 100% recommended. Was an excellent option for our home in Surf City.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The AHS team did a great job for us. We were not in town for much of the planning and installation, so placed lots of trust in their team. The communication was great, the work exceptional, and they followed up promptly on small issues until everything was complete. I would highly recommend.
